ERNEST, Gabriella Rose and the Song About Coming Home

ERNEST is not a neutral choice of support act for an Alabama homecoming. He co-wrote “Loving Life Again” with Langley and Devin Dawson, and he sings background vocals on the SAWGOD/Columbia Records recording.

The song came out of a real conversation. Langley cancelled two weeks of shows, went home to Alabama, and stayed with her family. She has said she closed on her first house in the state around the same stretch.

When she came back, ERNEST asked how she was doing. Her answer became the title. They wrote the chorus that week and finished the song with Dawson days later, per Langley’s account from the stage in Chattanooga.
